We are back to the main list (we won’t have another palette cleanse for a while). Jethro Tull came in a lot higher than I would have thought. It’s been 13 years since I made my original list and I can’t say that I’ve had any more Jethro Tull in my life.
Actually – I don’t recall listening to Jethro Tull in the last year.
I don’t remember going through a Tull phase in 2007. Truthfully, I had a hard time conjuring up stories about Tull and me. There several greatest hits must have motivated me to put them high on the list (number 21).
It’s fair to say that if you asked me to rerank my top 21 today, Tull would not jump anyone on the list. I would even bet they wouldn’t crack the top fifty if you let me rerank the entire list.
I don’t have issues with Jethro Tull, I just favor a lot of other bands nowadays.
When it was all said and done, Tull dropped by one (only because we broke up CSNY and CSN). They steal beat out newcomer Tool, but I tend to believe that Tull will slowly slip down the list.
